History

El Dorado Taqueria was started by Enrique Parra Sr. in 1976 in Fresno California along side with his brother Guillermo Parra. They brought the flavor of their hometown La Pedad, Michoacan Mexico into Fresno. Creating various plates from back home including Carnitas (Fried Pork), Barbacoa (Seasoned Meat),Birria(Stew), Alpastor(Marinated Pork) and many more dishes. They expanded from just having a restaurant to having meat markets around the town of Fresno. In total they had up to five restaurants and six meat markets here in Fresno California. But as time passed they began selling all the businesses away since they were planning on retiring. But in 2009 their children decided to once again open up El Dorado. Since then Enrique Parra Jr. and Norma Parra along side with other family memebers manage the one restaurant and two meat markets that are located in Fresno.
